Business Coordinator


The Business Coordinator is a mid-level coordinator position. This position is responsible for assisting with the overall coordination and oversight of the company’s Business initiatives, including managing and coordinating all efforts related to the same. The Business Coordinator will report to the VP of Business Development and will work closely with all HDS related Teams, Management, and Executive Leadership to achieve the company’s goals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all project activities in or similar project management applications, create status reports for Management and Executive Leadership, and follow up.
  • Create and prepare letters, presentations, proposals, and other written material as needed to support the day-to-day activities.
  • Coordinate and support all conference activities including registrations, reservations, flights, preparation of shipments of conference materials, etc.
  • Support HDS Business Projects and Activities with administrative duties.
  • Create and Manage budget requisitions, expense reports, and other requests and coordinate with Accounting to ensure payments and supporting documentation are delivered timely.
  • Serve as the first point of contact with potential and existing clients regarding the preparation of RFP/RFIs, client questionnaires, and other required documentation as needed.
  • Ensure that all content is on-brand and consistent in terms of style, quality, and point of view.


  • Project Management Software preferably or similar.
  • Office 365; Word, Power Point, and Excel Proficient.
  • Detailed, organized, focused, and possesses strong time management skills.
  • Team-player with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Fluent English speaker and writer.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Experience with CRM software packages a plus.
  • Experience with Canva and similar tools.
  • Working understanding of the Affordable Housing industry a plus.

Educational Requirements

  • Two years or more of strong work-related experience.
  • Certifications also considered.
