Position Title: Project Manager

DEPARTMENT: Customer Support

Job Summary

Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating projects. As Project Manager you will closely collaborate with customers, development and internal colleagues to meet the right requirements and managing different projects both short and long term. You are the primary interface between business requests, HDS and product specialist. As the Project Manager you are responsible for facilitating prioritizing and communicating functional requirements of projects to the team. Works under the supervision of the VP of Business, functionally interacts closely with Software Operations and Management in order to meet company’s goals.

 

Responsibilities

Project Management
  • Manages projects from original concept through final implementation
  • Work with project sponsor and stakeholders to complete project charter outlining scope, deliverables, resources, budget and timing
  • Responsible for managing the project scope, objectives, analysis and timeline
  • Develop and maintain a schedule for project timeline and milestones – set task deadlines
  • Develop and maintain communication, risk and escalation plans
  • Schedule and conduct status, project and ad hoc meetings as required
  • Ensure operations understands project requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Ensures adherence to quality standards, reviews and accept project deliverables
  • Responsible for entering the tickets required to complete the project
  • Responsible for actively participating on the Planning Meetings, and ensuring that work orders are assigned to the appropriate release
  • Conducts and participate on project meetings and on line / onsite demos

Business Analysis

  • Examine, assess and document methods and processes of the business flow
  • Organizes and leads working sessions with clients, other analysts, product specialist and product manager to define system requirements
  • Documents business needs, requirements, and issues in order to define product specifications for software development and implementation
  • Identifies and resolves issues between business requirements and technical constraints, often involving other business analysts and other teams
  • Actively participate on RFP responses

Implementation

  • Conduct online and on-site training courses on products within their responsibility
  • Prepares training materials for the specified software functions being taught
  • Evaluates and identifies effectiveness of training, and identifies software design issues
  • Assists in the development of manuals and integrated knowledge management

General

  • Assist on internal training
  • Actively participate on client demonstrations on site and off site
  • Maintain CRM and My HDS including client information, whitepapers, knowledge base, blogs and forums;
  • Actively participate on working groups, conferences including doing presentations;

Work Experience

  • 3-4 year work experience in project management and implementation
  • Experience in technology and affordable housing industry a plus
  • Agile Project Management experience a plus
  • Experience with project management tools and/or software packages
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office product suite and Windows operating systems is required.

Education Requirements

  • Four year degree in business or a related field
  • PMI Agile Certification a plus
